At the school I used to work at, (it was run in conjunction with an American Uni) there was this one crazy black lady - she was legit nuts - freaking out about everyone being racist (including other teachers) and that the black population was underrepresented - She was highly encouraged to leave, but just after she did, the Uni started some affirmative action or something and sent wave after wave of black teachers. I couldn't care what color the teachers are, but it was interesting to see it happen, as it was just a Korean admin reaction to the poorly executed multicultural dogma that the government is halfheartedly pushing out the gate. Nothing is really planned here, everything is an afterthought. Best example in recent memory: road works that change the lanes/signs/barriers on new roads that have just been paved because of too many accidents - which are denoted by rectangles sprayed on the road surface to indicate position - and not thought of ahead of time. Still, most black teachers don't last too long in Korea - I know of ONE that made it to a Uni, the rest washed out after a couple years.
